Valkenbos X Green Stays
Van der Valk Hotel Nuland works with Green Stays. With this concept, you as a guest can choose to make a positive contribution to greening the Netherlands. When you choose to skip your interim cleaning during your stay, we will plant a tree in the Valkenbos on your behalf.
By choosing our Valkenbos initiative, you play a crucial role in revitalising the Valkenbos. With every overnight stay without towel change, you contribute to the replanting of our 40-hectare forest, which has been in our ownership since 1979.
Not only do you support CO2 storage - with one tree absorbing about a tonne of CO2 over its life cycle - but you also reinforce our commitment to sustainable business practices.
Your decision has a direct impact: for every saving on your cleaning, we plant a new tree, contributing to our goal of planting 10,000 trees a year.
How do you choose Green Stays during your stay?
Hang the ‘Green Stays’ door hanger (found in your hotel room) on the outside of your room door by 12:00 in the morning. Our housekeeping will then skip cleaning your room and report it to reception for administrative processing.
